London Fashion week is naught but a distant memory. The BFC tent at Somerset House has long since been dismantled, the clothes are winging their way to the stores, and the models are finally back on solids.
What has definitely stuck from our stint at Menswear Day however, is the knowledge that British men are dressing better than over. OK, fashion week was bound to throw forth a few experimental looks and avant garde garments, but the strongest looks demonstrated an engagement with style at its most fundamental, and there were plenty to choose from.
In recognition, here is a short film outlining the ten key looks from the day. From military to minimalism and from texture to tailoring, we saw it all – and if these chaps are anything to go by, next year’s Britain’s best-dressed man competition is going to be the fiercest we’ve seen
